What are the Ivy League Schools
The Ivy League is a primarily athletic conference encompassing eight Universities located in the Northeast of the United States. The term “Ivy League”, much like the term “Oxbridge”, bears connotations of high levels of athletic performance, academic excellence and social elitism. A degree from one of these eight universities would almost guarantee a future applicant high tiered positions in the job market.
The Ivy League is comprised of these Universities:
• Brown University Providence, Rhode Island
• Columbia University New York City, New York
• Cornell University Ithaca, New York
• Dartmouth College Hanover, New Hampshire
• Harvard University Cambridge, Massachusetts
• Princeton University Princeton, New Jersey
• University of Pennsylvania Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
• Yale University New Haven, Connecticut
These are the crème de la crème of further education institutions in the United States of America, surpassed by only few universities on a global scale.
